Focus Forward Breakfast Roundtable - Presented by DSA and Gallatin
Seattle has cracked the top five U.S. cities for growth for three consecutive years. There are now more than 70,000 Seattleites living downtown and 250,000 people working in downtown, and those numbers are rising. Look no further than the burgeoning tech-driven neighborhoods of Denny Triangle and South Lake Union. Both have seen their residential population grow by 50 percent over the last five years. It isn’t just adults, either. The population of school-age children downtown increased 40 percent since 2010.

Who are these workers and residents and what do they care about? How do nonprofits and community organizations engage them to help shape our downtown and city?

Moderated by Gallatin Public Affairs’ Bob Royer, our November Focus Forward panel will take a closer look at the next generation of Seattle workers and their impact on our evolving community.
